• A viable social health insurance scheme that forms part of a functioning health care delivery system where informed stakeholders actively participate; available resources optimized; and, health care needs of the poor are addressed

Community-based Sanitation

• Better living conditions in a poor peri-urban community through the improvement of local sanitation and water system and carried out through capability building and multi-stakeholder participation and through the adoption of appropriate and sustainable water and sanitation technologies.

School Health

• Alleviation of the effects of poverty on health and education for poor public elementary school children through a comprehensive and integrated school health program that advocates for health-related school policies; establishes a healthy school environment; promotes skills-based health education; and sustains a school-based health and nutrition services.
